2 Peter 3:11  Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,

Today's Thought: When you commit your life to Christ,  you allow God to shape your life. 

There is one thing in which I am dead earnest and that is the Communist 
cause. It is my life, my business, my religion, my hobby, my sweetheart, my 
wife and mistress, my bread and meat. I work at it in the daytime and dream 
of it at night. Its hold on me grows, not lessens as time goes on. Therefore 
I cannot carry on a friendship, a love affair, or even a conversation without 
relating to this force which both drives and guides my life. I evaluate people, 
books, ideas and actions according to how they effect the Communist cause 
and by their attitude toward it.

This is what a communist man wrote to her girlfriend.  This is the kind of commitment demanded of us Christians.  We must be dead earnest in giving our all to Christ.  The commitment that we have define the life we will have. 

When we remain in Christ we wi be able to know His will in our life.  It is not about the consequences of our commitment, it is about how Christ is molding the way He intends to do in our life. 

Men that have hazarded their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing, and they brought the LORD’S offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments.

Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
