Hebrews 11:17
Today's Thought: A trial faced is an opportunity to trust God.
The first Scholastic Aptitude Test was done among more than eight thousand young students on June 23, 1926. The test was designed to test the learning potential of prospective college students. The original test dealt with math, number series, logic, analogies, and definitions.
The tests we face in life are designed to measure the opportunity of demonstrating our faith. We must understand that these tests are not meant to destroy our faith. They may be hard, but they are meant to build us up. When Abraham was preparing Isaac to be the sacrifice, he was hoping against hope that God would provide a sacrifice. And his faith stood strong.
God would never break His promises or let us down who trust in Him. God does not promise life of sweetness, but He promises grace in the times of purging amidst the storm.
By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son.
