The Work of God In Us - March 5, 2018

Philippines 1:3-6
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Today's Thought: God will complete the work He has promised to do.

When Elizabeth Shoumatoff was asked to paint of President Franklin Roosevelt, she was unable to finish it. The Unfinished Potrait still hangs in the Little White House in Warm Springs, Georgia. When Elizabeth started to work on the painting on April 12, 1945, Roosevelt complained about a headache. Later that day, the president died of cerebral hemorrhage and the painting was left unfinished.

God has promised to do something in our lives. This work begins at salvation and shall continue as long as we live.  Let us allow God to work in our lives. We don't need to worry or fear for we know that God is going to finish the work He has started in our lives. We must always look unto Jesus, who is the author and finisher of our faith.

The Lord has promised to complete the work in us. The cry of faith on the cross "It is finished" means that there is no question God will bring us to a place where His plan is accomplished.
