Proverbs 21:25
The desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labor.
Today's Thoughts: The Lord expects us to work and labor for His glory.
The orchestra is a perfect set of instruments beautifully producing a single music. One day, they got tired of entertaining people and they were on strike. When the pianist tipped the C, no music came out. When the violinist started to strike, no music came out. All other instruments produced nothing but silence. A week went by and the orchestra was silent. Then came the years. The orchestra instruments were now rusting and dusty. They ended their strike, but their music was not cranky and creepy.
We are saved by the Lord to work on His ministry of reconciliation. We are called to be part of His Church. We are called to labor. If we will not do our part on this laborious work of people, one day our desire will also die. We are not called to sit down and watch the sunrise to sunset. We are called to work for the Lord. As a father works for His children, he is doing it as unto the Lord. As a mother keeps the home, she is doing it as unto the Lord. As the children work, they are doing it as unto the Lord. There is labor in the Lord, but rewards are also prepared.
The lazy has no room in the presence of the Lord. The lazy does not open his bible and meditate on the Word of God. The lazy does not pray. The lazy does not win souls. The lazy does not invite people. The lazy will never be available for the Lord. And one day, the lazy goes home to heaven early for he is bearing fruits.
