Job 40:4
Behold, I am vile: what shall I answer three? I will lay mine hand upon my head.
Today's Thought: God knows the best for us; let us lay our lives before Him.
Throughout the preceding chapters of Job, Job reasoned and complained about the predicament he was in. He pleaded his cause before God and talked about the suffering he suffered from. It was so typical of us when we are struggling, we ask God for an answer, for an explanation.
And Job got his answer. God asked Job where was he when He made the world, or where was he when He did all the wondrous things - dividing the watercourse, causing rain to pour, and even giving strength to all creatures. With everything that God did, Job was silenced. All Job could do was close his mouth and humble himself before God.
In everything we are in, let us remember to give God the glory and praise. Let us keep the song of Horatio Spafford in our hearts, "it is well with my soul" for God is in control.
