Exodus 14:13-14
And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.Today's Thought: Just trust the Lord for He is still on His throne controlling everything.
The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
Amidst our problem, the prescription of the Lord is to “stand still”. There is no other remedy to the situation we are in, but just to stay where we are. We are not advised to work on things, to find solutions, or to look for people who can help us. God is telling us to stand still.
One day there was a young American boy who visited his friend in a remote village of Zambia. While he was roaming the hot desert of Zambia, he was lost. He got cornered by a big lion. He didn’t know what to do. And he remembered Exodus 14:13. He just stood still and waited for long. The lion did not move, so did the boy. And the lion fled. Should have the boy run, the lion could have torn him into pieces. Like most of us, we try to run out of our problems. And the devil torn us into pieces.
Sometimes the “fear not” of God becomes our doubting phrase. We tend to put God in a can. He can do nothing. Probably, someone else can help us. Perhaps, God cannot stretch His arm anymore to help. We are wrong!
Let us to back to that old trust and faith we had when we trusted our soul to Jesus Christ. And let us remember the “salvation of the Lord”. We can only see this great miracle when we “fear not” and “stand still”. Until then, we will still remain dreaming for big miracles of the Lord.
