Walking Wisely For the Days are Evil - September 24, 2017

 Ephesians 5:15-16
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Today's Thought: Let us be wise in our daily life and walk in the Spirit of God.

Timothy Treadwell was a wildlife lover who spent summers in Alaska's wilds. He loved grizzling bears and even believed to have made special relationship with them. He had ignored warnings from park rangers on the dangers of the wildlife and of grizzly bears. In 2003, he again stayed in the Katmai National Park. Summer just ended and fall came with grizzling bears becoming more dangerous during that season. On October of that years, Treadwell was found killed by a bear. He thought he had made friends with bears but he was awfully wrong.

People, in general, nowadays are unwise in most of their decisions. Even Christians are walking on the path they think is good for them without consulting the Bible. It is awfully wrong to follow one's will when we don't have the insight or foresight of the Lord. It is necessary to depend on the Bible and the Spirit of the Lord for the leading of our lives.

However, it is only possible to walk wisely if we walk by the Spirit of the Lord. If Christians are unwilling to listen to the voice of the Lord within, it is impossible for them to walk wisely. They will continue to walk foolishly even if  it leads to their ruin.
