What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them.
Today's Thought: Let us live our doctrine - this is real Christianity. On June 22, 2002, a young pitching star for the St. Louis Cardinals was found dead in his hotel room. He was young, athletic and in good health. But the autopsy report says otherwise. There was a 90 percent blockage in two of his coronary arteries, blood clot in one of them, and enlarged heart. His appearance did not show any health issues.
Jesus told the Pharisees the condition of being spiritually blinded because they thought they were right with God. The kingdom of Christ is not manifested in the appearance alone, but in the heart. It is an inside-out job and not an outside-in process. Jesus talked about how people honor Him with their lips, but their heart was far from Him.
It is impossible to determine spiritual health through the looks. It is only judged through the way a person lives. Let us allow God to search our hearts and lead us in His way again.
