2 Corinthians 3:5
Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.
Today's Thought: Only by the power of God can you and I do something for Him.
Have you ever played baseball as a kid? Have you experienced when you father or someone else held your hand and batted on the ball? All you have to do is make a home run. You beam with pride and joy as if you are the one who did the job of swinging the bat and hitting the ball.
It is the same with our Lord Jesus Christ. We should allow him to hold our hand, swing the bat for us, hit the ball. All we need to do is run the course set by the Lord. Paul put it simply as dependence on the sufficiency of the Lord's grace. We cannot claim anything, any success or forward achievement. All we do have is this filthiness within us that we are fighting by the power of God. It is the Lord's doing that we enjoy everything we have.
Have you depended on God to fight against the wiles of the devil? Have you depended on God in ridding of several forms of idolatry in your heart? Have you depended on God for the provisions everyday? Have you depended on the grace of God for new strength? Only through His power will you ever experience joy beyond compare.
