There failed not aught of any good thing which the Lord had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.
Today's Thought: When God made a promise, He is able to fulfill it.
There are approximately 8,810 promises in the entire Bible. In the Old Testament there are 7,706 and in the New Testament there are 1,104 wonderful promises. Deuteronomy 28 has 133 promises, which is more than any other chapter in the Bible. “We’re sitting on the premises when we ought to be standing on the promises!” observes Vance Havner.
In this passage of the Word of God, God fulfilled His promise to Abraham. He brought the nation of Israel to the promised land and won victories for them to claim the land. "All came to pass." Everything that the Lord promised to the nation of Israel, He did fulfill. There are promises in the Bible we can claim. We only need to be in active participation through faith and all these promises shall come to pass according to the plan of the Lord.
The goodness of the Lord rests on His promises. Because the Lord has promised, we only need to believe and live these promises through the eyes of faith. Faith appropriates us these promises of the Lord in our lives.
