Being Safe in the Lord - February 10, 2018

Psalm 18:18

They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the Lord was my stay.

Today's Thought: You will never fall before enemies if the Lord is your foundation.

The Hiroshima Peace Memorial is only structure left standing near the ground zero of the Hiroshima atomic bomb. Though only the skeletal remains of the building withstood the bomb just almost above the structure, it was preserved as a memorial to the thousands who died and for the living to prove the enormity of strength and formidable character of the Japanese.

Christians should also remember that during calamities in their lives, the Lord remains their strongest foundation. He is still the God who led the waters out to the seas. He is still the God who kept the stars on their courses above. He is still on His throne. When the Lord is your foundation and strong tower, you are secured from any bomb that is intended to level you flat.

Because of the goodness of the Lord, you should always remember to remain in His fortress. There is safety in His tower. Do not allow yourself to be astray far from the tower of the Lord. Otherwise, you lose the security the Lord provides.
