Amos 5:15
Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the Lord God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph.
Today's Thought: Let us respond with love and compassion to every situation and circumstance we are in.
Throwing a perfect game in baseball is a major accomplishment to only 20 pitchers in the more than a century history of Major League Baseball. Armando Galarraga of the Detroit Tigers could have been the 21st on June 2, 2010 if the umpire did not commit an erroneous call on the field. The video replay showed that the throw was good, the umpire apologized, but what the call could not be changed. Through all this, Galarraga never retaliated but expressed sympathy for the umpire.
The Lord is reminding us that we want the fair treatment of ourselves we will become angry and frustrated. But we start thinking of others' affairs and needs, we will be able to go beyond personal feelings. Oswald Chambers said: Never look for justice, but never cease to give it; and never allow anything you meet with to sour your relationship to men through Jesus Christ.
When we feel unjustly treated by others, we must be Christ. Though it will be hard but let us ask God for His grace to help to continually show justice, fairness and righteousness amidst our perverse generation.
