Today's Thought: Death does not have power over us when we have Christ.
In 1899, DL Moody died. Moody just ended his evangelistic campaign in Kansas City. The next day in Massachusetts, Mood was dying. He said: "Earth recedes, Heaven opens before me! It is beautiful. It is like a trance. If this is death, it is sweet. There is no valley here. God is calling me, and I must go.”
The power of death has been defeated in our lives when we received Christ in our hearts. With this thought, we should be always ready to face our Master in heaven. DL Moody said: I’m not discouraged. I want to live as long as I am useful, but when my work is done I want to be up and off. We have something to be done here and when we are not useful anymore we must be up in heaven and off of our work here.
As much as death has no power over us, we must be ready to finish our work here and continue to live in heaven. We are children of God and we must live and act as one for one day we will be with Him. We don't to be ashamed of what we've done when we meet the Lord.
