Acts 17:28
For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
Today’s Thought: If we want to live, let us draw near unto God.
What happens to a fish when you put it on dry land? It dies. When you take a bird from the air? It pines. When you take anything from it’s natural environment, it will surely die. The same way with man. If you take God out of man’s life, man shall pine and die.
It’s with the Lord that we live and have our being. Without God we will lose everything. But of all creatures, only man does not understand his natural environment. If you put out a hook on water, fish darts away from it. A bird surely escapes from the snares of the fowler. But man when esnared by the devil does not give a struggle to escape.
We are the Lord’s and we must stay with God. As it is with the Lord that we live and move and have our being, let us endeavour to stay in the eyes of the Lord.
