Being Insensitive - March 8, 2018

Ephesians 4:19
Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

Today's Thought: Insensitivity is not a Christian character.

Lashanda Calloway had stopped at a convenience store in Wichita, Kansas when a fight broke out for few minutes. During this brief encounter, Lashanda was stabbed accidentally. She died afterwards. The saddest part is what when the surveillance camera was replayed, there were five people who stepped over her and continue their shopping without even bothering to care.

This story has a reflective account in the Bible about the man who was lying by the road of Jericho and rescued by the Good Samaritan. It is a sad thing that people don't have the sensitivity to care for others. They were just focused on themselves with nothing for others. Greed or selfishness is the main reason for the failure of man to reasonably care for others.

As Christians let us to endeavor to become blessings to others. There should no room for selfishness and greed among us. Let us bear in mind the teachings of Christ on compassion and mercy. Let us be real Christians in our deeds.
