When Knowledge Fails - March 25, 2018

James 1:22
But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Today's Thought: It is not enough to know; you must live it.

Americans spent $90 billion on gym membership and equipment, tutorials and other weight loss programs. But Americans still suffer from obesity. All these books on weight loss have not produced a significant difference in the average weight of Americans. It is because they know the problem as as well as the solution, but they do not apply the solution.

Knowing aboyt the Bible is a good thing. We must read the Word of God, study and learn from it as much as we can can. However, knowing the Bible will not bring change. Information in our head does not make any change in our lives. It is only when we apply the information on our behavior, on our lives do we find significant change in our lives as well slowly conform to the image of Jesus Christ.

As they said, it is not a time for talk. Rhetoric is cheap. We must move beyond knowledge, and we must apply knowledge unto wisdom. Christians are not commanded to read the Word of God, but it is only through that process we may able to observe to do all that is written therein.
